‘Then it is more than just dying’

Ivo has ALS. His muscles are getting progressively weaker and he can do less and less, while his organs are still healthy. He has chosen organ donation following euthanasia and hopes to help other people after his death.

In the video, Ivo speaks openly about his impending death and what that means for him and the people he loves. Life is ending for him, but his family must go on without him. At the same time, he thinks of the people he can help with his organs and the joy that can bring to other families.

For Ivo, organ donation gives a different meaning to his euthanasia. The thought that a part of him can live on in other people and that he can help them is incredibly important to him.

He also has a message for others: think about organ donation in time and talk about it with the people around you.
