All about organ donation and tissue donation

Everyone aged 18 and over is listed in the Donor Register. So are you. If you haven't made a choice yourself, then 'no objection to donation' is listed with your name and you are a donor.

Organ donation

People with a failing or non-functioning organ can sometimes be helped with an organ transplant. For an organ transplant, a donor organ is needed.

People can be helped with tissues that someone can donate after death. For example, consider a skin transplant after burns.
